St. Mary’s University commenced providing internet-based Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Exams on February 12, 2021. This is a follow up of the partnership agreement signed between St. Mary’s University and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), based in London, Northern Ireland, on September 22, 2020. Close to 100 professionals who took a 10-week virtual certification training in Capital Markets are expected to take the CISI Exams in the month of February 2021.
CISI exams are part of Ethiopia’s capacity building initiative intended to support the setting up of capital markets in the country. National Bank of Ethiopia is a regulatory institution responsible for the proper launching and implementation of capital markets in Ethiopia. To ensure the same, it has offered certification training for about 100 professionals in Ethiopia among which were two of St. Mary’s University faculty members.
