Orientation Sessions Held for Freshman Students
The Student Support and Services Office, SMU, organized a three-day general orientation sessions for freshman students of the 2013 E.C. academic year from May 24-26, 2021. With the aim of helping students get to know the different service providing offices, the Student Support Services Office, the Gender and HIV/AIDs Prevention and Control Office, the Office of the Registrar, various academic departments of the Undergraduate Programs, and the Finance Office made brief presentations about their respective offices and the services they provide.
Opening remarks were made by Ato Tedla Haile, Executive Vice President (EVP)of St. Mary’s University, who warmly welcomed students and informed them about supports available at the University and where they canget the supports and also advised them to develop themselves in terms of relevant information and to be critical thinkers.
The orientation sessions were conducted for three consecutive days by following the COVID-19 protocols.
