In the orientation session, various topics were covered. These included what TATARI is; who supports it; its benefits for students and fresh graduates; those eligible to register; how to register online; what the participants need to do; duration of the program; and finance/seed money to begin a business. The orientation session was a follow up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between St. Mary’s University and TATARI for Students, a saving and entrepreneurship development scheme for University and TVET students, supported by the BRIDGES PROGRAMME (a job-creation program) and funded by MasterCard Foundation, to work collaboratively to provide opportunity for graduates and second year and above students of St. Mary’s University, who are interested to start their own business for self-employment. The program offers intensive entrepreneurial skills which takes a minimum of six months.
